EASTLAND COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) — The man accused of killing a Hamlin woman has been booked into jail on a murder charge, according to the Eastland County Jail.
JONES COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Jones County Sheriff’s Office have issued an arrest warrant for a man suspected of killing a woman Friday afternoon, according to a Jones County Sheriffs press release.
Jones County Sheriffs responded to an assault call east of Hamlin Friday afternoon, and arrived finding a victim identified as 66-year-old Alice Brigham, according to the release. EMS transported Brigham to the Hamlin Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Mitchel Glen Butler, 39, has been identified as a suspect in the murder, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest, according to the release.
Texas Rangers are also assisting in the investigation.
Butler has a previous criminal record, last being arrested in 2007 and taken to the Taylor County Jail for several theft and burglary charges.
