In-flight emergency reported for Dyess-based bomber

DYESS AIR FORCE BASE (KTAB/KRBC) - An in-flight emergency was reported as a B-1 lancer bomber based out of Dyess Air Force Base took off from an air base in Hawaii on Friday, June 1.

The bomber took off from joint base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Field in Hawaii, and was set to return to Dyess on June 1.

After takeoff, the bomber experienced an undisclosed issue and an in-flight emergency was declared. The bomber returned to base and no one was harmed, according to military.com.

On May 1, a Dyess-based B-1 had to make an emergency landing in Midland due to an issue with the plane's ejector seat, according to Air Force Times. This incident led to all B-1 lancers being grounded.
