Indicted: Abilene trio accused of stealing multiple identities

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Three Abilene suspects accused of stealing the identities of multiple victims have been indicted. 

Antonio Zavala, 30, Carolina Garcia, 39, and Gloria Santibanez, 28, were all indicted on two counts of Fraudulent Possession of Identifying Information in connection to an investigation that took place in July of 2017.

Court documents state officers were able to trace a check forgery case to the trio’s home on Kirkwood Street after a fraudulent check was used to pay their water bill.

When a search warrant was executed at the residence, the documents state identifying information and mail for several individuals was found in two different rooms. 

Zavala and Santibanez remain jailed on a $30,000 bond each, and Garcia was released after posting bond in September.
