ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A 4-time convicted Texas sex offender accused of inappropriately touching himself in front of a group of Abilene children has been indicted.
Justin Rondot, 28, was indicted for Indecency with a Child Thursday in connection to the incident that happened in June of 2017. He remains in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling $190,000.
Court documents state a 10-year-old little boy was playing outside with 3 other children when he observed a man, later identified as Rondot, pull up to a nearby curb in his truck.
The boy observed this Rondot “playing with himself”, so he went and told his mother, according to the documents, which state the boy’s mother then came outside and also observed Rondot inappropriately touching himself.
Rondot away when he realized the mother was standing there and parked at a home down the street.
Officers arrived on scene a short time later and went to question Rondot, who was the registered owner of the truck. Rondot “denied the allegations and claimed that the neighborhood was trying to set him up”, according to the documents.
When Rondot’s criminal history was reviewed, the documents state police learned he had been convicted on 4 counts of Indecent Exposure for similar incidents involving adult females in 2013. He is required to register as a sex offender until 2025 because of these convictions.
Texas Department of Criminal Justice records show Rondot was sentenced to serve 2 years probation for the 4 Indecent Exposure cases.
