ANSON, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Mark your calendars now, the 59th Annual Jones County Fair and Livestock Show is coming to Anson, Texas in late September.
This years fair will be held from September 21 through September 23, and will feature two divisions, the livestock division and the home and garden division.
The livestock show will be held Saturday, September 23 at the Jones County Show Barns at 803 23rd Street in Anson, Texas. Entries will consist of cattle, sheep and goats. Contestants must be a member of FFA or 4-H and a resident of Texas to enter.Entry fees are $15 for lambs and goats, and $25 for heifers and steers. The home and garden division will take place in the Lawrence Hall Activity Center at 801 23rd Street in Anson, Texas. The show will begin Thursday, September 21 with the check in process. The show will feature many exhibits such as textiles, preserves, baked goods, antiques and collectibles, recycled home arts, horticulture, special division, photography, art, grandparents brag, educational exhibits, hobbies and crafts. There will also be an ice cream contest for all ages to enter on Saturday, September 23.
