MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL (WCCO) – Police say a child was thrown from a balcony at the Mall of America Friday.
Now a suspect is in custody.
Witnesses say a woman screamed that someone threw or pushed her child from the third floor.
According to police, the victim is 5 years old and has significant injuries.
The child is currently in the hospital in unknown condition.
Police reported that the suspect, a 24-year-old man, tried to get away, but has since been arrested.
They do not believe the man is related to the victim.
