CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Two mobile homes burned to the ground at the House of Yahweh compound in Callahan County Thursday morning.

Flames engulfed the homes located at the religious organization’s property on CR 254  within a matter of minutes, giving emergency crews little time to respond.

The Callahan County Sheriff’s Office told KTAB and KRBC the homes were already completely destroyed by the time firefighters arrived on scene.

No injuries were reported in connection to this incident. It’s unknown how many occupants were displaced.

The Clyde and Eula Volunteer Fire Departments both assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the fire, and the cause is still under investigation.
