ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Two accused drug dealers are behind bars after 6 different kinds of narcotics were found inside an Abilene motel room frequented by one of the suspect’s children.
Jeffery Charles Lambert, 41, and Marcus Villarreal, 32, were taken into custody when a search warrant was executed on their motel room in November.
Court documents state detectives conducted surveillance on 2 rooms associated with Lambert and Villarreal at Motel 6 on the 4900 block of W. Stamford Street just days prior to the search and seizure.
During the surveillance, detectives saw both Villarreal and Lambert, as well as Lambert’s children, going between the rooms on several occasions, according to the documents, which state multiple unknown individuals were also observed driving up to the motel, entering one of the rooms, then leaving after staying for only a few minutes – behavior consistent with drug deals.
Methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, liquid morphine, alprazolam, packaging materials, digital scales, syringes, containers, paraphernalia, a notebook, phones, and $388 in cash was seized from the motel rooms when the search warrant was executed.
Lambert is charged with 2 counts of Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Tampering with Evidence.
Villarreal is charged with Manufacturing/Delivery of Meth, Manufacturing/Delivery of Heroin, Possession of Marijuana, and three unrelated warrants.
Both suspects are being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling over $60,000.
