BROWNWOOD, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Brownwood Police Department (BPD) arrested a naked man accused of breaking into multiple homes in the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to a BPD press release.

At around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, Brownwood police responded to a suspicious call in the 2600 block of Greenway Drive. Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with a homeowner in the area who stated he observed a nude Hispanic male hanging out of his bathroom window, according to the release.

The homeowner began striking the suspect with a stick until he freed himself from the window, and then was chased away down the road until he was out of sight.

Minutes later, another resident in the 2600 block of Southside Drive called 911 to report a nude male at her residence. Officers arrived to the area and observed the suspect running southbound, according to the release.

Officers lost site of the suspect in the area of the Casa Grande Apartments, but later found him hiding under a vehicle in the parking lot. The suspect was then detained and identified as 42-year-old Mario Narro of Brady, Texas.

Narro was observed to have numerous scrapes on his body from the escape attempts, and further appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic, according to the release. Additional investigation determined that Narro entered onto the property of or entered inside a residence on four separate occasions.

Narro was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment, and then arrested for three counts of burglary of a habitation. His bonds total $75,000, according to the arrest report.

The investigation is still ongoing, with additional charges pending as new information becomes available.
