ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – One woman has been injured after her vehicle was struck head-on by another driver suspected of being under the influence of K2, according to Abilene police.

The two cars collided head-on around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after a man was seen driving erratically eastbound on South 14th Street. His vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting a curb and then striking a vehicle heading west near the Glenwood Drive intersection, according to police.

The westbound vehicle was occupied only by one woman as the driver, who possibly suffered a broken leg in the collision.

Police say the man was suspected of being under the influence of K2, a synthetic alternative to marijuana. The man could be seen being assessed at the scene.

Eyewitnesses reported that the man was swerving heavily while traveling down the road, appearing to be unconscious and hanging his head out of the window.

Charges for the male driver are pending. No other injuries were reported.
