ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Two Abilene men were arrested after falling for a child sex sting operation on Craigslist Tuesday.

Andrew Rodriguez, 23, and Michael Luna, 26, were both taken into custody after arriving at an arranged meet-up with an undercover officer posing as a 16-year-old online.

An arrest report states the undercover officer responded to a personal ad Rodriguez had placed for sex, claiming to be the 16-year-old.

Rodriguez acknowledged the undercover officer’s “age” and still asked for and sent explicit pictures, according to the arrest report.

Luna’s arrest report states he also corresponded with the undercover officer and agreed to smoke meth with the 16-year-old.

Both men have been charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor, and Rodriguez has also been charged with Sexual Performance of a Child Employ Induce/Authorize for the explicit pictures.

Rodriguez is being held in jail on bonds totaling $75,000 and Luna is being held on a $25,000 bond.
