Randy Turner to depart KRBC News

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Chief Meteorologist and Main Anchor Randy Turner will soon depart KRBC News.

Randy has spent nearly 40 years in broadcasting, in both radio and television. His passion for weather and making sure the audience is well informed has been paramount to Randy’s career at KRBC.

“We are, of course, saddened to see Randy leave, but we are happy for him and his new endeavors,” said General Manager/VP Albert Gutierrez. “Randy has done a tremendous job for us over the years.”

Randy will become the Executive Director for the Coleman County Chamber of Commerce.

“I’ve enjoyed my time serving the viewers of the Big Country,” said Turner. “Thank you to the viewers for the trust they have given me throughout the years.”

Randy’s last day will be at the end of October.

“We will miss Randy and his energy,” said News Director Travis Ruiz. “Randy will always be a part of our family and we look forward to the future at KRBC.”
