Search warrant finds meth, firearms in investigation of storage building burglary suspects

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A search warrant issued by the Abilene Police Department (APD) in the investigation of two men charged with burglary of a storage building has yielded methamphetamine and firearms, according to court documents. 

Jason Lynn Kilough, 39, and Dustin Ryan Yancey, 43, were arrested on May 16 in Clyde, Texas and are accused of stealing from multiple storage units in Abilene, according to the documents. 

Kilough and Yancey have been charged with the theft of two home travel trailers, in addition to several items from the storage units. 

During an interview with APD detectives, Kilough admitted to stealing one of the trailers, as well as stealing from the storage units, according to the documents. Kilough also confirmed specific items he had stolen. 

Kilough and Yancey are currently being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds of $87,000 and $50,000, respectively.
