BREWSTER COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – 7 people were arrested at the Pumpco main construction site in Alpine, according to the Brewster County Sheriff’s Office.
We’re told 3 people barricaded themselves at the gates of the site. Protesters also attached themselves to a 55-gallon drum of cement, putting PVC pipe through the side of the drum, and holding onto a chain.
Three of them were taken into custody for obstructing a roadway and trespassing.
Four others were also arrested at the scene.
