Six arrested in Nolan County drug roundup

NOLAN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Six people are behind bars after a sweep pf drug-related arrests executed in the Sweetwater area Friday, according to the Nolan County Sheriff's Office.

Law officers from the county, district and state level executed arrest warrants in a joint operation among the departments.

Large amounts of methamphetamine, as well as a firearm were seized during the operation, according to Nolan County sheriffs.

Those arrested, and their respective charges are as follows:

  • Christian Joe Barrera, 23 White male. Charged with Felony Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine, over 400 grams) and Interference with Public Duties.
  • Yolanda Gail Pimpton, 48 Black female. Charged with Felony Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
  • Shawntia Elain Floyd, 33 Black female. Self-surrendered at Nolan County Jail. Charged with Felony Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
  • Earthie Kaylyn Walker, 52 Black female. Charged with Felony Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
  • Antonio Campos Guerra, 57 White male. Charged with Felony Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine, over 400 grams), Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a felon. Guerra was on probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver.
  • Noah Job Coppler, 34, White male.Charged with State Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine, less than one game).

Bonds were not set for any of the suspects as of Friday night. The methamphetamine seized was valued at about $50,000, according to Nolan County sheriffs. 

“I am proud of my staff for working so hard on this growing problem." Nolan County Sheriff David Warren said in a press release. "Additionally, the level of cooperation and assistance we have received from Texas DPS and the 32nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office has been phenomenal."
