Texas Forest Service responds to wildfire in Nolan County

NOLAN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Multiple crews and the Texas Forest Service have responded to a wildfire near Maryneal in Nolan County Wednesday afternoon. 

The fire started burning along County Road 273 southwest of Maryneal, according to the Texas Forest Service.

Two trucks from the Sweetwater Fire Department (SFD) have responded to the blaze, along with crews from Maryneal and Roscoe, according to SFD.

Cause of the fire has not been determined. The Texas Forest Service reported just after 10:00 p.m. Wednesday that the fire was 100 percent contained after it had reached 487 acres.
