TxDOT announces $82 million in grants for Texas public transportation

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Abilene will receive over $450,000 to fund public transportation as part of a grant announcement made by the Texas Department of Public Transportation (TxDOT), according to a TxDOT press release.  

The grants, which are both state and federally funded, are designed to help pay for maintenance of vehicles and facilities, vehicle purchases and transit facility improvements.

Abilene will receive $450,581 as part of the grant, according to the release.
