BUFFALO GAP, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Fire crews stood by as a precaution as an abandoned home burned down near Buffalo Gap’s historic village Tuesday night.
Crews responded to the scene to find the house fully engulfed in flames across the street from the grounds of the historic village.
The structure was said to be unoccupied for over 15 years, according to fire officials. No injuries were reported.
Due to the status of the structure, fire crews opted to stand by and allow the fire to burn out, but remained on alert with a brush fire truck to prevent the flames from spreading off of the property.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
