ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Volunteers are needed Monday morning for cleanup efforts following Saturday’s tornado in Abilene.
Volunteers are asked to meet at the Pioneer Baptist Church gym (701 South Pioneer Drive) at 9 a.m.
This is being organizaed by the United Way of Abilene and the Big Country VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster).
The volunteers are needed for two different types of work. Those volunteering can meet with storm victims one-on-one to conduct needs assessments and share next action steps. Volunteers can also continue with the hands-on cleanup efforts.
