Master Plan for Taylor County Expo Center Unveiled

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Taylor County Commissioners have unveiled their master plan for upgrades to the Expo Center, including the $54,000,000 price tag.

A bond election will be held in November so voters can decide if they want to move forward with the project.

The upgrades will take place in three phases and will include improvement to nearly all aspects of the Expo Center campus.

  • Phase 1: New Livestock Barn & Pavilion Site & Utility Improvements, Covered Outdoor Arena (CODA) Improvements Livestock, CODA & Arena Connection Landscape Improvements
  • Phase 2: Demolition of Livestock Barn, Food Court Building, Relocation of Midway/Carnival, New Multi-Purpose Arena ,Arena Site Work
  • Phase 3: Coliseum, Coliseum Site Work, Horse Barn Re-Purpose,Cattle Pen Demolition
