BELLMEAD, Texas (KXAN) — Members of law enforcement are searching for an 11-year-old girl taken by a 16-year-old near Waco. An Amber Alert has been issued for 11-year-old Katelynn Marie Maldonado.

Maldonado is described as 5’01” and about 100 pounds. She has brown hair, hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a maroon hoodie with “Teenage Dirtbags” written in white on the front.

Police are searching for a 16-year-old, Brittani Ann Bolin, in connection with Maldonado’s abduction. Bolin is about 4’10” and 156 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is driving a tan 2012 Kia Sorrento with a Texas license plate KVX4917, the Department of Public Safety said. She was last heard from in Bellmead, Texas, which is just north of Waco.

Law enforcement officials believe Maldonado may be in “grave or immediate danger.” Anyone with information can call 254-799-0251.
