Dusty Baker said, "So there you have it, the Cooper Cougar Offensive Line are our Players of the Week. Coach is back in studio, Coach Warren welcome back and let's talk a little about this offensive line for the Cooper Cougars allowing them to get some big runs and some big yardage against the Wylie Bulldogs."
The Cooper Cougars are coming off their first win of the season in the Southtown Showdown over the Wylie Bulldogs 48-0. The Cougars running back committee rushed for a combined 282 yards and 5 touchdowns in the game, but it was the offensive line that helped create major holes for the backs to exploit in the victory.
Mickey Spagnola said, "Well if you thought the loss to Carolina was bad, this one might have been worse. Seattle 24, Cowboys 13 and it wasn't even that close. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was sacked five times, he was hit another two times. He had two passes tipped for interceptions and the Cowboys lost a fumble. That's three turnovers, that's no way to win when you go on the road here at Centurylink Stadium, dropping the Cowboys record to 1-2."
The Cooper Cougar running backs receive a game ball after rushing for a combined for 282 yards and 5 touchdowns in their first win of the year, 48-0 over Wylie. Noah Garcia led the group with 164 yards and a touchdown.
