Aaron Roan has been named the replacement for Todd Moebes as the Head Football Coach at Cooper High School.
Roan said he will take what he has learned from the previous coaches he has worked under to succeed as a Head Coach at Cooper.
Cooper Head Coach Aaron Roan said, “I’ve been extremely fortunate to work with great head coaches. I’ll be indebted to Coach Spradlin and Coach Moebes and there’s some things from both of them that I will use. A lot of that goes with communication and organization that they’ve provided to me. Those are some things that I look forward to building upon and continuing to develop in myself.”
Roan said he is both excited and nervous with the responsibilities of being the Head Coach.
Roan said, “It’s an exciting time. It’s a nervous time, a lot of new areas that I’m a little unfamiliar with that are going to be new to me but it’s an exciting time and more importantly it’s good for our athletes at Cooper to keep things going in the right direction, it keeps things consistent with them and that may be what I’m most excited about is the consistency that those kids will have.”
Coach Roan is very familiar with the current group of kids at Cooper since he has been the Defensive Coordinator the past seven seasons and has been a coach at Cooper since 2006.
Cooper is set to open the 2018 season against Keller August 31st.
