Abilene High distance runner Leslie Filorio made her college choice official on Wednesday.
She signed a national letter of intent to run for Dallas Baptist University.
Filorio’s personal best times are a sub-2:20 in the 800m, 5:25 in the 1600m and 19:28 in 5K cross country.
Deciding where to go to college is hard, but Dallas Baptist seemed like the right spot for Filorio.
Leslie Filorio said, “When I visited the campus, I fell in love with it and the whole program. Everyone is so passionate about it, and it was so Christ oriented. It’s full of really good people, and I felt compelled to run for them.”
Filorio plans to study history and law at Dallas Baptist.
The Patriots Cross Country teams are getting ready to run at Nationals this week.
