ACU baseball falls to Baylor 6-3

In their first meeting since 1968, the ACU Wildcats baseball team fell to Baylor 6-3 in Waco on Wednesday night.

A combined five home runs were hit, two for ACU and three for Baylor, along with a single and a double that drove in runs for the Bears.

Baylor threatened to tack on more runs in the bottom of the 8th, but with three Bears on and two outs, ACU junior pitcher Bryant Jordan left the bases loaded with a strikeout of Baylor’s Richard Cunningham to end the inning with the Bears leading 6-3.

That’s where the score would stay.

ACU ended the game with three runs on six hits, and one error. Baylor had eight hits for six runs and ended with no errors.

The Wildcats continue their road trip as they continue Southland play with a three game series this weekend at A&M Corpus Christi.
