The Wylie Lady Bulldogs bring their smoking hot bats into the second meeting between the two schools.
Head coach Heather Collier’s team is scoring 12 runs a game in the last five games.
It shouldn’t be a surprise to you that Wylie is 5-0 in those games.
It’s been a good run, and they hope to keep it going into their game with Cooper.
“From the first batter to the last batter, we’re all very solid,” Lilly New said. “I think that has definitely helped us this year because we’re all strong, we go workout twice a week in the doghouse, I think that has helped us in our legs. We definitely overpower a lot of teams with our batting.”
“I guess we kind of just feed off of each other’s energy, so every time we see the first batter, the second batter, whoever, whenever we see them get a hit, it just kind of motivates us all to want to hit more and do well,” Madison Owen said.
The Wylie Lady Bulldogs and Cooper Lady Cougars meet at Cooper in the Southtown Showdown on Friday. The district title is on the line at noon.
