Breckenridge expects stable and successful 2018

The Breckenridge Buckaroos are getting ready for this week’s opener.

The 2017 season was full of ups and downs that included a change of offense, a victory over top-ranked Brock, and a first round playoff loss.

2018 should be more stable and better.

The pieces are in place, and the schemes are the same heading into the year.

Head Coach Casey Hubble said, “We started this year in the same offense we ran last year and we’ve been running the same defense now, this will be year five, so you ought to see some consistency take place and I think if we’ve done anything in the past lately that’s kept us from reaching a really high level, it’s just been consistency.”

Kevin Franco said, “I think we’re just going to try to keep the momentum that we did have last year, even though we fell a little short, but I think we’re going to come back and be way better.”

Lane Berkley said, “Everybody’s really fighting for spot because there is not a spot that’s safe so you’ve got to come out here and do work every day.”

Coach Hubble and his team are on the road to start the year.

The take on Jacksboro Friday night.
