Brownwood Baseball is continuing trend of success

The Brownwood Lions lead a group of eight Big Country teams in the Regional Quarterfinals.

The Lions put up a pair of run-rule victories last week to advance to the third round.

Head Coach Blandon Hancock’s team is rolling, and they are just one of several programs having a great season.

Hancock says one program’s success feeds the others, and they are all better when one is winning.

Blandon Hancock said, “Everybody feeds off everybody. Coaches feed off everybody. The kids feed off each other. It gives them a sense of pride. It’s a great time to be apart of all of this success, and how we come together and how we root for each other and cheer for each other. I means something to these kids, and they have something to play for.”

The Lions try to keep things rolling starting Thursday night in Glen Rose against Argyle at 7:30.

Game 2 is Friday at 7:30 and they play again Saturday if a third game is needed.
