Clyde football unveils new uniforms

I know we’re still three months away from football starting back up in the Big Country, but this afternoon, the 2019 season got a little bit closer and more exciting as the Clyde Bulldogs unveiled the new era of uniforms.

The Bulldogs are making the transition from Nike to Adidas this year, and along with the brand change, Clyde added new black and white jerseys with “Clyde” across the chest, new gold pants, and a gold helmet that they haven’t played in since 2011.

“I just can’t believe that we got new uniforms, Adidas is always looking good, the tight fit and the gold pants, the gold pants really pop, it’s something new and I love it,” Jax Roam said.

“I think the first emotion was just in awe of the gold helmets,” Austin Schoonmaker said. “We’ve had black for five, six years and the gold helmets was definitely the best part. Everybody’s just going crazy over the gold helmets.”

“We’ve got a big senior class coming, we’ve got 18 seniors, and we just felt like it was a great time to change our look and to go with the gold pants and gold helmet,” Head Coach Scott Campbell said. “These guys have worked incredibly hard during the offseason and spring drills, and they’re super excited about the future, and so are we.”

You can look for the Bulldogs to be in their new black jerseys and gold pants in their season opener against DeLeon.
