Cooper looks to move on from loss to Amarillo High

November 13, 2018 - The Cooper Cougars are back in the playoffs for the 12th straight year.

However, they are looking to pick themselves back up after losing the season finale to Amarillo High, 58-27.

You could describe the game with the Sandies as a really bad night.

So, how does Head Coach Aaron Roan get his guys back up and ready to travel to El Paso for the first round?

Aaron Roan said, "It's a short memory. We learn from last week and we move on because it's an exciting time. Playoff football here in Texas is where we want to be at. It's where we want to be and giving us an opportunity to play of round one game. We are excited about the opportunity we have this week. I think that's what we focus on. We're zero and zero. Everybody's got the same record in the playoffs. Now we have to take advantage of the opportunity we have this week."

The loss also means Cooper is headed to El Paso for the first round instead of hosting.

Their game with Eastwood is Friday night at 6:30.
