Cooper opens second week of work

The Cooper Cougars continue their work to get ready for the 2018 season on Monday.

They put on the pads went on on Saturday. That’s a good sign that the season is getting closer.

Head coach Aaron Roan likes what he’s seen from his team, and he says they are competing every day.

Roan said, “It’s definitely getting closer. 2nd day in full pads. Continuing to try to bring things together. I think there’s still a lot of competition out there. We are still evaluating at all positions.”

Aiden Thompson said, “Our coaching staff is amazing to work with. We’re getting better each day. It doesn’t matter if it’s half pads, full pads, helmets, we’re coming out here to get it. It’s coming to reality. You come out here and you’re working all off season, spring, and summer, and it’s finally here. It’s awesome. We’re going to go out here and get after it.”

The Cougars scrimmage San Angelo Central this week in San Angelo.

They get it started at 11 am.
