Cougars gear up for first scrimmage

The Cooper Cougars are headed down to San Angelo for their lone scrimmage of the preseason with the Central Bobcats on Friday.

The Cougars have been hitting each other for the last week and four days.

As a result of that, head coach Aaron Roan’s guys are ready to get a shot at someone different.

Friday morning provides them with the chance.

Aiden Thompson said, “We’re feeling prepared, we have a great coaching staff and they’re going to prepare us to go get Central, to go play good, so it’s going to be fun.”

Aaron Roan said, “We’re really looking forward to hitting somebody else on Friday in the Central scrimmage, we’ve been beating on each other all during the spring and now we’re going through week 2 right now so that’s one thing that we’re looking forward to as a coaching staff to get to see who’s going to step up and fill some of these voids going against somebody else.”

The Cougars and the Bobcats get together at San Angelo Stadium Friday morning at 11 am.
