Eula Holiday Classic: Scores and Highlights

The Holiday Classic Basketball tournament kicked off today in Eula. We've got plenty of local teams in the tourney, so let's get it started with Eula and Brady in the first round game this morning.
Pirates passing it around until they find something they like, they get it to Cole Watkins and he drains a 3 for Eula.
A little while later and Watkins is getting hot. He drives it in for a nice layup to bring the Pirates up by 2.
But here comes Brady, Bryce Francis hits Beau Jacoby who finishes it off with a fall away jumper for the Bulldogs.
So Cade Smith is going to fake the shot and get it to Matthew Booth from beyond the arc, and that's nothin but net.
You want another 3? Cade Smith does. Pirates get it to him, and that's a money shot.
And Eula keeps on rolling, they take down Brady 38 to 35 and move on to round 2 game tomorrow at 4.
Now we go over to Jim Ned taking on Poolville earlier today.
Indians offense getting something going, and they get it to Timbo Comparetto who finishes it off with a nice layup. Jim Ned up by 7.
But Poolville is going to get a little action. Landon Smith drains a 3 for the Monarchs to keep them in the game.
So Jim Ned responds with a 3 of their own, this one by the senior Dylan Harrell.
And the Indians get it to the wide open Harrell again. He drills another beautiful 3 to bring Jim Ned up by 10.
And the Jim Ned Indians don't stop there. They take down Poolville 61-34, they stay in the winners bracket as well and they will play Childress tomorrow morning.
Now let's keep the ball rolling with some women's high school basketball at the same tournament.
And we start with the Cisco Lady Loboes taking on Ira this morning.
Ira gets it started. They pass it around and end on Sierra Welch who ends the drive on the short jumper.
So Cisco brings it down and quickly get it to Harley Kendall who sinks the layup for the Lady Loboes.
So the Lady Bulldogs are going to return the favor. They hit Lexie Hanshew on the edge of the arc, that's nothin but net for her.
But hey, Cisco can do that too. Kennedy Williams to Kentleigh Nichols, and can you say swish? Lady Loboes have closed the gap to 4 points now.
Cisco comes close to taking this one, but Ira edges them out in the end to win it 50 to 43.
Lady Lions, Lady Tigers and not bears, but oh my! Albany and Hico also played this morning.
Hico came out hot. Marissa Warren stole the ball and took it all the way back down the court, finishing it off with a  nice spin move and a layup.
And the Lady Tigers steal it away from Albany again! This time it's Shelby Polk to Emilee Jackson, back to Polk with the jumper.
But Albany's going to get something going, the Lady Lions bring it down and get it to Alexis Munden who sinks the lay in.
Hico would keep rolling all the way to the end, finishing this one off with a 57-23 win over the Lady Lions. Albany plays Cisco in the losers bracket tomorrow at noon.
