HSU adds seven to athletics staff


ABILENE, Texas – Hardin-Simmons’ athletic department has announced several new assistants to the coaching and athletic department staff for the 2018-19 school year.

Cambra Rodriguez, who previously played at HSU and Abilene Christian and was a coach at Abilene Christian School, is the new assistant for the volleyball program.

Former Cowboy men’s soccer player Matt Pitcock has been named as the new assistant for the men’s soccer team.

Former ACU basketball player Sierra Allen joins the women’s basketball staff replacing Caprice Stephens on Kendra Hassell’s staff. 

Krysten Marr has joined the staff as the first full-time assistant for the softball program. She previously played and coached at Bacone College.

Silas Lott has joined the staff as the school’s first assistant director of athletic communications. He is a recent graduate of Berry College. 

Shelby Stevens has been named as a new assistant athletic trainer for volleyball and baseball.

Bailey LeRoux has been promoted to full time as the director of the HSU Spurs program.
