Cooper High School assistant girls soccer coach Justin Head has been promoted to head
coach of the Lady Cougars.

Head succeeds Robert Alvarez, who resigned earlier this year to accept a position in another
district.

A teacher and coach since 2009, Head joined the Cooper High coaching staff in 2012.

In addition to serving as the assistant girls soccer coach, he has been the head powerlifting
coach and a varsity football assistant coach during his six years at CHS.

He previously taught and coached in Borger ISD.

Head is a graduate of West Texas A&M University and Merkel High School.
