Lady Eagles on 7 game winning streak

The Abilene High Lady Eagles are getting ready to start District 3-6A play tomorrow night at Eagle Gym.

Head coach Terri Aston’s girls are playing some of their best basketball as they head into district.

The Lady Eagles are riding a 7-game winning streak, and they expect that to help in the games that count.

Trakenya Roberson said, “It builds up our confidence a lot. I think we’ll do fine as long as we just stay confident and keep working hard in practice.”

Tuyizere Sandrine said, “It feels great knowing we’re on the winning streak, but also it’s kind of scary because we know there’s some teams behind our backs.”

Terri Aston said, “We feel good, I mean it’s just preparation right now so I mean, all these games have just prepared us for what’s coming on Friday and so that’s really what we’re looking ahead and looking to that game on Friday, so it’s just, everything we’ve done is just prep work for us right now.”

The Lady Eagles start district play tomorrow night against Fossil Ridge. They tip at 6.
