The Dallas Cowboys held their first practice since running back Zeke Elliott returned from suspension.
He is your starter, and you can expect to see them feed Zeke on Sunday.
Mickey Spagnola said, “The Dallas Cowboys were certainly glad to see #21 back on the practice field on Wednesday following his 6 game suspension. And while Ezekiel Elliott didn’t have much to say about what he’s been doing for the past 6 weeks, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett seemed pretty pleased from what he’s seen, and thinks he’s capable of doing whatever they ask him to do heading into the game against the Seattle Seahawks.”
Jason Garrett said, “Again, he’s capable of doing anything we ask him to do at the running back position. He’s obviously a really good runner. He’s a good receiver, he’s a good protector. He can play in any situation. We’ll work through this week and see what he’s able to do in this game plan, we’ll certainly keep Alfred ready, we’ll certainly keep Rod ready, those guys have done a really nice job handling the situation throughout. When Zeke was here early on in the season getting prepared for their opportunities, then when he wasn’t, taking advantage of their chances to play. So all hands on deck, we’ll proceed normally this week and figure out how we’re playing everybody come the weekend.”
Mickey Spagnola said, “And know that Ezekiel Elliott immediately began taking snaps with the first team offense, that’s an awfully good sign.
