A major change has been made at Cooper High School as Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Todd Moebes is resigning from coaching the Cougars.
Moebes spent 7 years as Head Coach of the Cougars and finishes with a 54-34 record at Cooper.
Moebes went 11-7 in playoff games, has one outright district title in 2014, one co-district title in 2016, and only one losing season in his career at Cooper. He is the first Cooper Head Coach to reach the playoffs every year of his tenure.
In response to the move by Moebes, Defensive Coordinator Aaron Roan is taking over the Football Head Coach and Athletic Director position.
Roan said in his press conference earlier today it was his goal at this time to make sure things are moving forward at Cooper.
Roan said, “I’ve been here for 12 years and Cooper is a great place. I love this school, the faculty, the staff, the players that we have in all of our athletic programs and it’s just an honor to be put in this position that I am in. I’m looking to continuing to build and maintain the things that have been laid forth, all of our programs to continue to carry on the traditions that we have here at Cooper High School.”
