You know, Wednesday of race week here at Daytona means the big cars, the Sprint Cup cars, return to practice.

They’re doing that here today at the Daytona International Speedway after two days of having the track closed.

The drivers getting ready for tomorrow night’s primetime races, the twin races, that will set the starting grid for Sunday’s Great American Race, the Daytona 500.

The front row is locked in, they had qualifying for that on Sunday.

Of course, Chase Elliott, 20 years old, is up front, 196 plus miles per hour.  He’s got the pole position, alongside him will be Matt Kenseth who was second fastest, but it’s wide open after that so tomorrow night’s races will determine the starting grid and drivers on the the track here today getting their last tune-up’s for those races.

The weather’s been spectacular the last couple of days and from here on in, expect it to be perfect for race day on Sunday.
