San Diego State is heading to the Final Four for the first time in school history after beating Creighton in a, 57-56, thriller Sunday in Louisville.
The game-winning point came after a controversial call in the final seconds. Senior guard Darrion Trammell let a floater go from just inside the paint and while that bucket didn’t fall, refs called a foul on the play and Trammell hit one of two free throws to win the game for the Aztecs.
Moments after the final whistle blew, Trammell was interviewed live on the CBS broadcast and his emotions poured out in what was a moment that makes this tournament so great:
Hard not to root for SDSU after watching that.
