NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Preparing to head into his fifth season as the head man at SFA, Clint Conque has been suspended by the school.
SFA’s University Marketing Communications office released the statement below Monday.
“Stephen F. Austin State University has suspended head football coach Clint Conque pending an investigation into alleged violations of university policy. The investigation is expected to take several weeks. No comments will be made by the university until the investigation is complete.”
No further details are available at this time.
Conque is 21-25 overall with the Jacks, including a 4-7 mark in the 2017 season. During his first campaign in 2014, Conque led Stephen F. Austin to their first FCS playoff appearance since 2010.
