Clyde police searching for ATM skimming suspect

CLYDE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Police are searching for an ATM suspect seen tampering with a gas pump in Clyde.

An employee at Thrifty's on the 1600 block of N Access Road saw this suspect and one other tampering with one of their gas pumps Thursday night, and when officers were called to the scene, the suspects fled and evaded arrest, according to a social media post.

Both suspects have been identified and their vehicle, which had multiple apparent ATM skimming devices inside, is in police custody.

One suspect was taken into custody around 2:00 p.m., but the other remains at large.

"We do not believe any customers fell victim to these skimmers, mainly due to the employee at Thrifty’s being so observant and diligent in notifying law enforcement," the social media post reads.

Anyone who has seen the remaining suspect is asked to call the Clyde Police Department at (325) 893-4111.
