Year two already better for ACHS under Holloway

The Abilene Christian High School Panthers are just a few days from getting the 2018 season started.

Head coach Jim Holloway is entering his second season leading the Panthers program.

A lot of starters and leaders are missing from last year’s team but according to the coach and players, the most important returner on the team is Coach Holloway.

Jim Holloway said, “Oh it’s been awesome, because they do know the system now and they know our terminology, and they understand what our expectations are, so we’re way, even though I say we’re reteaching some, I guess you always do that, but we’re way far ahead of where we were a year ago, just with the whole program.”

Noah Hampton said, “It’s real nice, because now this year, we don’t have a new coach this year, so we know what to expect. We know his rhythm, what he wants, so it’s a whole lot smoother and we’re able to get going a whole lot quicker this year.”

The Panthers play at Shotwell Stadium again this year. Game number one is at home against Rule on September 1st.
