ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The Texas High School Finals Rodeo (THSFR) kicked off in Abilene Thursday morning, starting with two competitions - one of which has started becoming more popular in recent years.

Every year on the first Saturday of June, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department allows anyone to head out to their favorite fishing spot and cast a line whether they have a fishing license or not. A nice way to get folks who have never tried fishing in on the fun.
