Thursday Afternoon: Skies will be mostly sunny and it’ll be a warm afternoon with temperatures at 74-76 degrees and some areas pushing into the upper 70’s. Winds will stay out of the Southwest at 5-15 mph and clouds will continue to increase heading into the evening as the cold front approaches.

Thursday Evening: Skies will be mostly cloudy and it’ll be a mild evening with temperatures at 59-61 degrees at 9pm. Winds will be relatively light and stay out of the South at 5-10 mph and clouds will continue to increase throughout the evening. The cold front is expected to reach the Big Country around midnight and into the Heartland sometime after midnight. There wil be a slight 20% chance for a developing shower or storm mainly in the heartland as the front moves through.

Friday Morning: It’ll be a cold start with low temperatures closer to normal at 36-38 degrees. Winds will start to pick up out of the North at 10-20 mph with wind gusts up to 25 mph. Wind chills will be 28-32 degrees. A heavy coat will be needed when headed off to work. A 30% chance for showers in the Big Country and a 50% chance for showers in the Heartland.
