Sunday Evening: Lingering showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible into the late evening hours. However, another round of heavy showers and thunderstorms will move back into the Heartland after midnight and will move in a South to North direction.

Monday Morning: Widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely by the early morning hours, so you’ll need give yourself extra time for the morning commute along with an umbrella. Temperatures will start out in the upper 60’s. 

Monday Afternoon: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across the Big Country and the Heartland and will begin to relax into the evening hours. Some areas could pick up another 1 to 2 inches of rain from heavy downpours. Localized flooding will be the main concern once again with some spots getting multiple rounds of rain. With the increased cloud cover highs will only manage to get to 78-80 degrees. Winds will be out of the South at 10-15 mph, with wind gusts up to 20 mph.
