Sunday’s Wake-Up Weather: A chance for scattered showers and storms

Sunday Morning: A cloudy and muggy start to the day with temperatures at 68-70 degrees. Winds will be out of the North at 5-10 mph. Grab the umbrella before heading out for your Sunday activities. A few showers are possible throughout the Heartland and South of I-20. 

Sunday Afternoon: Showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread. Heavy downpours and dangerous lightning will be the main threats. Localized flooding will be possible in low lying areas and areas that have already seen several rounds of storms. Heavy downpours and dangerous lightning will be the main threats. Highs will be below average and at 86-88 degrees, and will vary area wide depending on the amount of rain received. 

Sunday Evening: A few lingering showers and thunderstorms are possible. Otherwise, it will be cloudy and winds will remain light out of the Southeast at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will be 67-69 degrees.
