Today/Tonight: *SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS* The day starts off mostly sunny with temperatures in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s. Clouds will be increasing throughout the day as high temperatures reach the middle 70’s. It will be a little cooler in the northern counties as cold air moves in from the north. Scattered severe thunderstorms will become possible late friday night until about the 9AM time frame Saturday morning. The main threats include large hail, damaging winds, and deadly lightning. Quarter sized hail may be seen as well as wind gusts in excess of 60 MPH. There are also possible chances for isolated tornadoes and localized flooding. Rainfall totals look to be around 3/4 of an inch with locally higher amounts possible.
