This Morning: Skies are mostly clear across the Big Country as temperatures are in the 70s for most of us, with the exception of the far northern Big Country where temperatures have fallen into the upper 60s. Winds are light and variable, but will become southeasterly this morning. 

This Afternoon: Our temperatures start climbing upward again this afternoon as highs return into the mid 90s across the region. 95° for a high in Abilene. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny with southeasterly winds around 5 to 15 mph. There is a 10% chance for an isolated shower in the far southern Big Country this afternoon into the early evening with some weak instability in the area. 

Tonight: Skies will remain mostly clear as we head into the overnight with southeasterly winds remaining around 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will fall into the mid 70s by tomorrow morning. 

Looking Ahead: Despite most kids heading back to school this week, summer is done with us yet! Highs will continue to climb the rest of the week, climbing into the triple-digits as early as Thursday. We’ll stay just as hot through the beginning of next week with sunny skies. Breezier winds will return starting Thursday and into the weekend as well.
