This Morning: Another warm start to your day this morning with temperatures in the mid and upper 70s. Skies are clear with breezy, southerly winds around 10 to 20 mph.
This Afternoon: Dangerous heat starts to settle in today with highs warming into the 100°-106° range across the Big Country. Remember heat safety tips today: stay cool, stay hydrated, take frequent breaks from the outdoors, don’t forget out your pets and always check the backseat for your kiddos. Skies will remain sunny this afternoon with a breezy, southerly wind.
Tonight: Yet another warm night in store as temperatures only cool down into the mid and upper 70s. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph tonight.
Looking Ahead: The dangerous heat continues all the way into Saturday as highs stay in the lower 100s. A weak cold front will move in Saturday evening and drop highs into the mid 90s for Sunday. It will also bring a very small chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm Sunday and Monday as temperatures start recovering and warming back to 100° by next Tuesday.
